workgroup support with REST API

As I checked in the document, it is confirmed fhat REST API does not support workgroup on CIFS configuration yet. 

Is there any plan to support it or is there any  other way?

Here is an example of using the private rest cli to invoke a command that there is no public REST API for.

Obviously you will need to change the commands\code to configure CIFS workgroups but i see no reason why that wouldn't be possible.
