Dear community,
I would like to set up a platform service endpoint in StorageGRID (11.8.0.8) for the first time.
Unfortunately, I always get the error message:
"Validation failed. Please check the Values you entered for errors.
Endpoint test failed. Please check Your configuration Failed DNS Iookup for IPs of host "test71.domain.de" "
However, I think the host is defined correctly and also resolves correctly when NSLookup is called via the CLI of the primary Admin Node:
root@SG100-01:~ # nslookup test71.domain.de
Server: 10.0.10.10
Address: 10.0.10.10#53
Name: test71.domain.de
Address: 172.18.xxx.xxx
root@SG100-01:~ #
Does anyone have any ideas?
Best regards
Michael

I suggest checking the storage nodes with ADC service as those are the ones with RSM service running on. RSM service is the one handling all platform services requests. So, those ADC storage nodes must be able to also resolve and communicate with that endpoint.
To figure out which nodes are ADCs, expand the storage nodes under Support > Grid Topology area in Grid Manager.
