Not able to stop NTP Service in Netapp Data Ontap Simulator

I am not able to stop ntp service in Netapp Data Ontap simulator(Version 8.0).

I stopped ntp service through command options timed.enable off,then trying set time with date command ,the system days 'date: cannot set date when NTP is running'.

change the proto type to rtc and give a try.
