Hi,
I am posting this question on behalf of my partner.
Thanks.
"We are facing issue with CIFS configuration.
Explanation of configuration and questions are below.
We installed cluster mode of NetApp 8.2 with using VMware Player. The cluster has name qnmnetapp.
The CIFS license was applied and VSERVER createdwhich allows CIFS protocol.,configured DNS.
I can ping the domain controller machine from NetApp cluster.
But I cannot configure CIFS server.
qnm-dc is address of domain controller.
QNMDOMAIN is domain name.
Can you help with resolving the CIFS configuration issue?
Does dns configuration is enough?
Should I apply specific configuration to Domain Controller as well?
Should I add NetApp cluster to domain?"

Can you please paste the exact error you get while configuring CIFS ? (a screenshot would help - if possible)

Hi Farah,
Thanks for posting the screenshot.
Can you please try Domain - qnm-dc instead of QNMDOMAIN
