API rate limited in Ontap 8.0, or broken?

When using the OnTAP API to monitor performance objects, all goes well until you start doing more than a few.

e.g. doing a few API calls, they reply in a reasonable 200 ms.

Doing 10 or 20, they start taking 30 seconds (yes seconds,not milliseconds) to reply.

The same behavior is not visible in OnTAP 7, but is consistently seen in 8.0.1 7-mode.

Is there some kind of rate limit in 8? Is it adjustable?

I know it's an old thread, but it would appear so.

I had to introduce a 0.2 sec sleep in my script to make it work.

A few notes:

ONTAP 8.0.1 is not the best release when it comes to APIs.  Try ONTAP 8.0.2 or better yet, the general release of 8.1.

As to collecting performance data, depending on the amount of data you are collecting can cause ONTAP performance problems, so be aware.
