Is there a way to lock-down or hide certain functions of the SnapDrive ?

Hi,

Apologies if this is the wrong queue for this query.

Is it possible to lock down / Hide certain functions of snapdrive ? For example : I want to hide features like  delete disk, shrink disk etc ?

Hi Ashwin, 

There is no way to hide some features from Snapdrive. If you were concerned about someone accidentally running something you may restrict the user from GPO settings.

Thanks for your reply. But, how is GPO is going to hep here. I do not want user from accessing the SnapDrive, my question is - Can certain functions be made to hide or grayed out ? Does NetApp provide any such procedure.

Can SnapDrive team provide any thoughts on this ?

Storage system access control roles:

You can assign roles to a user in the AccessControl.xml file to allow or restrict only certain operations to SnapDrive:

For 7-mode: Yes
For cDOT: ?

Note: Storage system access control is not supported in clustered Data ONTAP

Can SnapDrive team confirm this ? Please only answer if you know correctly, do not scpeculate or guess.
