Effective December 3, NetApp adopts Microsoft’s Business-to-Customer (B2C) identity management to simplify and provide secure access to NetApp resources.
For accounts that did not pre-register (prior to Dec 3), access to your NetApp data may take up to 1 hour as your legacy NSS ID is synchronized to the new B2C identity.

Software Development Kit (SDK) and API Discussions

found netapp-manageability-sdk-ontap-8.3-api-documentation;  but

    NO netapp-manageability-sdk-ontap-8.2-api-documentation

  NOR netapp-manageability-sdk-ontap-8.1-api-documentation.

Any one knows?

It looks like you can download the older versions which includes ontapi_1.0 -> 1.15.  In the features page (before you download it) it says the following:

  • Support for the following Data ONTAP releases:
    • Data ONTAP 8.1 APIs, which includes 7-Mode, Cluster-Mode, and Vserver APIs
    • Data ONTAP 8.0.1 (7-Mode only)
    • Data ONTAP 7.3.5
    • Data ONTAP 7.3.4

You can download the software by selecting "Netapp Manageability SDK" at the bottom of the software download page and selecting 4.1 in the version box or just click here:

Or if it'll let you, straight to the download page here:

Inside you'll find a folder with all the API document versions similar to the 8.2.2 and 8.3 release layout:

doc > ontapi

                     > ontapi_1.0

                     > ontapi_1.1

                     > ,,,,

                     > ontapi_1.14

                     > ontapi_1.15

I suspect you mean the nice, concise documentation you can find in someone's post every once in a while.  The 8.2.2 release can be found about 2/3 of the way down this post:

I happen to have a copy of 8.2.1 on my laptop but 8.2.2 will hopefully work for you.

I can't seem to find 8.1 anywhere, I'll update this if I can find one

The documentation is included in the package.

Open the SDK_help html file in the root directory after you unzip the package.

More detailed documentation of APIs is available from within the ZExplore utility found in the 'zedi' directory.

You may want to take a look at the SDK API programming webinar I did for FastLane:
