OTV and ZAPI

When will OTV use purely REST API only? as it appears even in OTV 9.13P1 ZAPI calls are being made which is being picked up by an upgrade advisor.  With the move to depreciate ZAPI from ONTAP 9.14  I would of thought OTV 9.13P1 would now have moved across?

we have released OTV NG with microservices architect where it is pure REST based.

Is this different to OTV 9 or 10?  Not seen the OTV NG version listed under that name.
