VSC 5.0 Question

Our VMware datastores are NFS volumes, and we have several VMs w/ a high amount of misaligned IO.  I read a lot about VSC 5.0 and it's ability to correct misaligned IO on VMFS datastores, but wasn't sure what my options would be on NFS datastores.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

VSC 5.0 Install and Admin Guide:

For NFS datastores, the storage system must be running Data ONTAP 8.1.3 or later.

just for clarification:

it does NOT fix the misalignment of the VMDKs itself. what it does is create a new datastore which is also "misaligned" by the same offset.
