VSC restore is stuck at Retrieving hosts and datastores

I am trying to restore a VM with VSC 2.0.1 (vsphere 4.1). I will right-click the vm and start the restore wizard. After selecting the snapshot to restore from I'll click next and the wizard will sit and spin at "Retreiving hosts and datastores." I cannot select a host to restore to or select virtual disks.

Everything in VSC is configured correctly. It sees all my filers and esx hosts. Backups are working fine.

Any ideas?

I found the answer.

The VM was renamed in vCenter. VSC doesn't like that. My other VMs are able to get past that loading screen and I'm able to restore a test machine with no issues.

Hi, we deployed VSC 2.1.1 with vSphere 4.0 Update3 and noticed the same behaviour.

Looks like it has not been recognized/fixed yet by NetApp.
