HI 2 Every1,
I am facing majore issue while running load balance config_mpath script.
Hi,
Are you able to ping the filers by name from the host? Is the firewall turned on?
I am assuming this is an esx host in which case you could install the NetApp VSC see this post http://communities.netapp.com/message/18638
With it you can set the MPIO settings
Hi,
Thanks for quick reply. I am able to ping the FILERS. What do u mean by NetApp VSC and MPIO?
i am newbie for storage ...
Thanks & Regards,

HI ,
Sorry forgot to mention esx version , I am using ESX 3.5.
Thanks & Regards,
BSR Krishna
I think the syntax for the config_mpath command is --access <filerXX>:<password> , though I do not think that is the issue.
You also need to add the esx host to the hosts.equiv file on the filer
The format in the file is
<ESX_host> root
If it still complains about dns, try adding the filer names/ip's the /etc/hosts on the ESX server
