Virtualization Environments
Virtualization Environments
I am attempting to test migrations from VMware to Proxmox via the NetApp Shift Toolkit. I have added the source and destination platforms into the toolkit, provisioned Qtrees on the associated volumes, and discovery completes without issue. When I attempt to create a Resource Group, following the selection of datastore and target VMs, the Qtree selection dropdown appears empty and displays "No Options."
Curiously, when I add KVM as a destination platform and walk back to the same Qtree selection, it is populated and shows the available entries as expected. Has anyone else experienced this issue with Proxmox as the destination platform specifically?
The environments are as follows:
VMware vSphere 8.0.3j
ONTAP MetroCluster 9.16.1P9 (NFSv3)
Proxmox 9.2.2

This is now resolved. The Qtrees were not provisioned correctly within the Proxmox environment.
@ChanceBingenYes, the installed version is 8.0P1. This is the version available to me from the support site.
This is now resolved. The Qtrees were not provisioned correctly within the Proxmox environment.
Would you be willing to share details? It might make a good KB article.
I misunderstood that the Qtrees themselves (not just the root volume) needed to be added in Proxmox -> Datacenter -> Storage as an additional mount point.
