Hi Robert, Thanks for reaching out to us. I heard this problem from one of the other customer too. Can you please provide the following information to diagnose it further: * Screen shot of the error * Your actual certificate (If you dont want to share the information over community, please mail me the details to msaravan@netapp.com. * Are you using Windows CA server to sign the certificates ? Can you please brief more about the configuration of your CA server. If it is of high interest to monitor this system from OCUM, you can use HTTP protocol for time being until this issue gets fixed. Thanks Niels. Your feedback is noted, and we'll see if the reports can be shipped with very very minimal changes expected from user (without using BIRT Report Designer). Regards, Saravanan

Hi, What is the ONTAP version you are running ? If possible, can you please create support bundle and put it in a shared path to debug it further ? Regards, Saravanan

I see you logged in as root, and tried executing this commands. The dfm commands do have execution permission only on UM users. I assume, the UM user in your setup is "umadmin". If so, can you go to the CLI context for user "umadmin", by typing "su umadmin", and then execute the CLI commands. It should work. Regards, Saravanan

Yes, your research is correct at the moment. If you want to control visibility at selected SVM level, you need to use UM5.x. Regardsm Saravanan

6.2 RC1 is not qualified on RHEL 6.6 server. It is qualified only with RHEL 6.5 server. However, between RHEL 6.5 and 6.6, there are not much differences and it should work. To diagnose this further, can you reply on the following questions: 1. Did you get any success message end of 6.2RC1 installation? Did you see username/password details ? Did you see URL details to login to UM server ? 2. What is the JRE version you are running on this box ? Can you share us the exact version that you have on your system ? Regards, Saravanan

User has to keep the cluster healthy before adding it to UM. That's the pre-requisite at present. After user has added the cluster, and if it goes unhealthy, UM can continuously monitor it and report. Thats the design. Regards, Saravanan

Yes, UM expects the clsuter to be healthy. For the cluster to be healthy, more than half of the nodes of the cluster should be healthy. You can see log messages regarding these errors. Regards, Saravanan

Hi, You are correct. 6.0RC1 is not equal to beta. To upgrade 6.0RC1 to 6.0GA, you require 6.0 ISO file. After copying this file, mount it on your vspehere client and go to vApp console. It’ll show you menu items where “Upgrade” is one of the option, just exercise that. Regards, Saravanan

There is no in-built functionality available in UM6.0 to trigger scripts whenever event (detection of failure conditions) is triggered. Whenever such events happen, UM6.0 has the capability to notify admins via e-mails and SNMP traps. You can achieve your expected behavior, if you know any ways to trigger scripts upon receiving e-mails or traps. Regards, Saravanan

Hi Jussi, Can you check, if you have got any event "cluster-add-failed" or "cluster-monitoring-failed" in events grid. The link to events grid is present next to dashboard menu. On events grid, to find out these events, you can do filter on Name column using "*cluster*add" or "*cluster*monitoring". If there is an event, it'll have details about why it is failing. Regards, Saravanan

Yes, its a typo, and captured correctly in other section "System requirements". ... Unified Manager requires OnCommand Workflow Automation 2.1 to provision Vservers with Infinite Volume with storage classes for content repository support. .... Add to that, you can still use UM6.0 with WFA2.1 for the above support.

Hi Manu, They are different problems. Adding Device to DFM is completely different from SNMP trap listener failed error. Can you get me the output of "dfm host diag <filer>" and based on that we can diagnose this further. Regards, Saravanan

Crash might happen due to one of the reasons : 1. Icon is missing for some of the volumes 2. It has some special characters and DFM failed to zip that. 3. etc.. Can you please try out the following steps and share the results. It might be too many asks for you but they are required to understand your problem one level down : 1. Run "share" operation with csv or text option and let us know your observation. 2. watch out your error.log (<install_folder>\log\) , dfm.log, dfmserver.log and let us know whether you find any specific logs while executing this share operation. 3. Also, it would be great if you share how does your CLI work. Please run this command "dfm report designer share -R volumes-report -E a@b.com" from your command console and share your observation. Regards, Saravanan

I am not sure about the way you tried to change your port number. After changing the port number, you have to ensure that you restart the dfm server service for port binding. [root@lnx ~]# dfm options list | grep -i 162 snmpTrapListenerPort 162 [root@lnx ~]# [root@lnx ~]# dfm options set snmpTrapListenerPort=5000 Changed SNMP trap listener port to 5000. [root@lnx ~]# dfm service stop server Service: server stopped. [root@lnx ~]# dfm service start server Service: server started. [root@lnx ~]# Now, watch out your dfmserver.log. It'll have debug messages regarding the port binding process for your trap receiver. [root@lnx log]# tail -f dfmserver.log Sep 06 11:06:57 [dfmserver:DEBUG]: [3872:0xb7f646c0]: Bound to [::]:8488 Sep 06 11:06:57 [dfmserver:DEBUG]: [3872:0xb7f646c0]: Unable to bind to [0.0.0.0]:8488 (errno=98) Sep 06 11:06:57 [dfmserver: INFO]: [3872:0xb7f646c0]: Initializing Diagnosis Engine. Sep 06 11:06:57 [dfmserver: INFO]: [3872:0xb7f646c0]: Starting Event Poller thread. Sep 06 11:06:57 [dfmserver: INFO]: [3872:0x1a1ab90]: snmp port = 5000 Sep 06 11:06:57 [dfmserver: INFO]: [3872:0x1a1ab90]: Starting snmpTrapListener thread... Please follow the above steps and share your observations. Regards, Saravanan

Hi, This error is more related to Adobe Flash player. Since this was working earlier, I guess that the problem would be solved if you uninstall and install Adobe Flash player again. Some hints on this problem are available at http://www.flashplayerfixer.com/flash-player-error-2032.php Thanks, Saravanan

Hi Mrinal Devadas, Find my answers inline (in italic prefixed with [Saravanan]) : [Critical] Cluster Not Reachable (cluster-unreachable): A cluster was not reachable from DataFabric Manager network. >>> Does this refer to the 'cluster-mgmt' LIF? Can we set the node-mgmt LIF to be used in case the cluster-mgmt LIF is not available? [Saravanan] Till DFM 4.0.1, you can use either 'cluster-mgmt' LIF or node-mgmt LIF as your primary address for monitoring. You can always switch over if one address is not reachable using "dfm host set <hostid> hostprimaryaddress=<>" [Info] Cluster Renamed (cluster-renamed): A cluster got renamed. >>> Is this event is after the node is renamed but before the reboot then the event should be marked as pending. The action is not complete until the node is rebooted. [Saravanan] I dont think so reboot is one of the mandatory requirement for renaming feature. If so, please share some data. I'll verify the same in DFM and let you know. [Normal] Port Status Up (port-status-up): A cluster port status is up. [Error] Port Status Down (port-status-down): A cluster port status is down. [Normal] Port Status Undefined (port-status-undef): A cluster port status is undefined. [Normal] Port Status Unknown (port-status-unknown): A cluster port status is unknown. [Info] Port Role Changed (port-role-changed): A cluster port role has changed. >>> Do we have similar events for ports that are in other roles? [Saravanan] Its for all the ports. No limiations to roles.

Thanks Peter. Please check the following 3 items one by one and share your observation : => Can you ensure that the folder D:\Program Files (x86)\NetApp\DataFabric Manager\DFM\reports\ do exist on your windows machine. => If it exists, can you login to this box with the user (who runs the schedules in opsmanager) and try to create a folder there ?? => If you are able to create the folder @ reports archive path, can you try running the schedule with the same user using "Run Selected" option (Path : Control Center -> Reports -> Schedule -> Report Schedules -> Select your report and click "Run Selected". Then go to Saved Reports, and click on the Output ID and let me know the output that you find there.) Thanks, Saravanan
