You should cable each filer to each switch in lacp config as opposed to each filer being directly connected to a single switch in a port channel. 4 x 10g LACP for CIFS is probably overkill, but if you have the ports then why not... A dedicated LIF per volume is advantageous, however, it can become cumbersome to manage when you have lots of volumes.. You should always at least seperate protocols with VLANS. Sperating datatstore and DB is better practice than not doing it.

I am a newbie in the UCS environment and was inquiring if there are documents/diagrams on how to cable/configure this solution between the Netapp and UCS. I have found a few links but not a clear picture. Thanks KH http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/servers-unified-computing/ucs-infrastructure-ucs-manager-software/116082-config-ucs-das-00.html

you dont schedule deswizzling, it starts automatically after the snapmirror occurs. What you need to be aware of is if deswizzling is running and a new mirror kicks off then you need increase the time between mirros to allow deswizzling to complete.

what versio of OnTap on cDOT is it? @Walcott wrote: Hello All, I installed Netapp Oncommand System Manger v3.1 in my VDI ,when there is a new NFS deployment for Cmode clusters I am succesfully able to create Volume, qtree and define new policy for the new qtree in Cmode cluster by using Netapp Oncommand System Manger v3.1. But, I am unable to configure snapshot schedule for Cmode filers by using Netapp Oncommand System Manager v3.1 . The problem I am facing is that when I select snapshot copies --->configure snapshot the page is not being loaded properly and the page gets loading and loading.what might be the problem , but the same issue I could not see while configuring snapshot for 7mode filers. I could easily configure snapshots by using this System Manger GUI. Please help me with any suggestions or ideas to overcome this issue. Is there any alternate method to configure snapshot schedule for Cmode clusters coz I tried snap sched volname schedule didn't work in Cmode .
