Is there a way in OnCommand Unified Manager 5.1 to create groups of objects (such as volumes) based on a matched string? For example if I wanted to create a group of all of my Oracle volumes, I could tell OnCommand to add all volumes that contain "oracle" in their names.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,
Unfortunately that's something not available in our product. If I understand correctly you would like your group creation based on some rules. Is it something like iTunes smart playlist kind of rules you looking for? Create a playlist based on a artist etc? In your case create group based on volume name containing Oracle?
It's it a right analogy? Did I get what you address looking for?

Hi Adai,
You are correct in your analogy. We have developed a naming convention for our volumes so an active inventory feature such as the one I mentioned would be extremely helpful.
