Problem with Grafana LDAP Integration

Hello folks, please help me.

I don't get LDAP running in Grafana. Let me aks few questions, please?

How do I need to login in Grafana "domain\user", or "user@domain", or just "user"

I have in my base DNs spaces, such as "cn=Frank Schubert". Do I need to escape them somehow?

How can I check in CLI if auth is working?

Would realllllly appreciate help...

regards Frank

You use your short user name to login into Grafana once LDAP has been configured.

What you use in terms of LDAP terminology is the sAMAccountName, this property doesn't have any space in it.

The only way I know of is to use ldapsearch tools to query active directory but that's tricky.

Can you give a sample of your LDAP config here, hiding sensible informations? Are you using NAbox or your own Grafana Install?

YES! this helped me out as well.

Some accounts would work, while others would not.

Turned out that switching from CN to sAMAccountname did the trick!

Thank you @yannb !!

Hi @F_SCHUBERT

Maybe someone here knows the answer but you might also want to check or ask on the recently opened Grafana community!
