I'm running ontap 8.3.1
System Manager only shows "Everyone" for the permissions on a share. However, the windows security permissions list for the share is correct (right click properties security tab). The perms were populated by using robocopy to copy the folder over from the original NAS.
Is this is expected or did I miss a setup on the SVM?

Do you mean that the list you checked in security tab on Windows client is different from share permissions on System Manager?
DACL and share permission is different thing as it is on Windows share. Share access is first evaluated by share permission, then file/folder access is evaluated by DACL.

yes that is what i meant, the security tab is correct and then I wasn't sure what system manager was supposed to show.
after your comment i think i might need to change DACL in System Manager to be Domain Users instead of Everyone which would be more in line with how our old CIFS shares are setup.
