Virtual Storage Console 9.6 - NFS VAAI "Unsupported" for Cluster

Dear,

I recently discovered that Virtual Storage Console 9.6, via the VMware Web Client (HTML), lists "NFS VAAI" as "Unsupported" in the "Storage Systems" overview next to the row referencing the Cluster. However, "NFS VAAI" is listed as "Supported" on the row referening the SVM.

For example:

This causes confusion since at first glance (with colapsed views) it seems like NFS VAAI is unsupported. Therefore, I was wondering whether there are any plans on changing the method NFS VAAI support is displayed in future releases? To my opinion it would be best to remove the status on the row that references the Cluster.

Thank you in advance for sharing any feedback!

Kind regards,

Pieter-Jan Rijmenants

Hi Pieter,

Sorry for the delay - I don't normally follow this area (we have a separate Virtualization forum).  Someone just brought it to my attention.

This is probably because vstorage is enabled at the SVM level, not the cluster.  I agree that we should not display this status for the cluster.  We'll look into updating this in a future release.

Thanks for suggesting this!
