I installed WFA 4.0 on a new server and restored a wfa 3.1 database from another server. Then I updated the server key from the wfa 3.1 server. Further I re-saved all credentials. After that this error occurs if I start a workflow. The complete message is
'_x0007_', hexadecimal value 0x07, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 122. Location: Row '2' step 'Create Volume'.
I found the other articles regarding 0x03 and 0x001B. However none of the fixes worked. I also double checked the wfa key with the other server but it's the same.
