Controller A is down and its sitting at "Waiting for Giveback".
Controller B is completely dead. I cann't execute cf give here.
In this case how I can make normal boot controller A.
Kindly do the needful.
hi
You can try unplugging the B controller, reinserting it and restarting the B controller to observe its state after it restarts.
Or contact NETAPP technicians to replace the new controller
Many thanks for your reply.
We have already performed the above steps but there is no luck.
Is there any way for controller A to come out from the "Waiting for Giveback" as a standalone system.
The ONTAP maximum file limits is lesser than the maximum possible number of files supported by ONTAP for a volume. This video explains the reason why ONTAP has this lower limit on the file count.
Here’s a quick tutorial on how to check system information on the NetApp Support Site.
Learn to correct an error message when ONTAP reports that a volume is out of inodes because it has reached the maximum files.
