Hi,
we're setting up OAM connectivity to controllers of an e2800:
Current configuration
Firmware version: 08.30.40.00
NVSRAM version: N280X-830834-D03
Model name: 2806
Board ID: 2806
Manufacturer Submodel ID: 326
Once attempting the netCfgSet to change IPs to:
169.254.104.1/255.255.192.0
we cannot save the change due to the following error:
"IP addresses conflicts with the reserved internal address range."
We can assign different IPs belonging to different subnets, but our implementatoin uses an internal subnet in the 169.254.0.0 so that we would need to be able to use that range.
We can for isntance assign 169.254.168.1 so that it looks there' s a specific range not avaialble to setup but we would need to understand if that's advertised and if that's the real issue
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Hi,
thanks for your reply, just one comment, we tried to allcoate: 169.254.168.1 and that worked fine, are you sure about the range being:
169.254.1.0 to 169.254.254.255
?
Thanks again

not all the IP's are in use on the range
but we kept them for the interal operations that are done
You will be able to find some IP's on that range that you can assisgn but it is not recommended that you use this range

Got it thanks a lot, just for my information, is this range advertised in customer documentation?
We used those IPs since the e2600 age, so that we will have to move them to another subnet range, so that having the official documentation to suport the change would be great
Thanks again
mike
