Testenvironment for SharePoint 2010

Hi there,

I was ordered to evaluate the process of buildung a testenvironment for a SharePoint Server 2010 environment (we don't have any NetApp hard- or software here, so I have to do this based on existing documentation).

Before I talk about the things I already know could you tell me whether (and where) there is a specific existing report related to that topic? Or could anybody give any hints how to approach to that theme?

I would really appreciate your help.

If you are looking to just evaluate SharePoint 2010 using Direct Attached Storage (DAS) the best place to start is Microsoft TechNet with the Evaluation Guide for SharePoint @ http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262881%28office.14%29.aspx.
