SnapCreator in Linux VMware guest with RDM?

Does SnapCreator backup & recovery work in the following environment?

Linux Guest running Oracle on vSphere

Data stored on FC rdm's

Hi Wessel,

I think we answered this on internal email thread but to summarize

SC can backup Oracle or any DB it supports running in a VM guest with RDMs. As long as the App data is separate from VM itself. SC has no way to quiesce VMware ie: do a vmware snapshot.

You could additionaly do an FS flush in SC but you need to provide the command

examples for unix are "sync" command

and windows has a tool called SysInternals sync.exe
