Hello,
We have to implement a cluster consisting of a FAS2750 and an AFF-A400.
Could someone validate the solution that I attach in the schem for me?
Could I use the 10Gb ports on the 3132Q-V switches? Or do I have to connect the FAS2750 with breakout cables to 40Gb ports?
I have checked the document "Technical Presentation: 40Gb Cluster Interconnect Configurations" (https://fieldportal.netapp.com/content/531465) but I don't see the specific connection for a cluster with FAS2750 and AFF-A400.
In Hardware Universe I have seen reference to breakout cables but I am not clear the solution.

Either should be fine. I think if they showed every single combo, they have a lot of slides 🙂
If you use the breakout-out you'll just have some danglers.
in HWU, click the switch -> 4 10G ports -> and click one of the supported cables.

Hi @SpindleNinja ,
Thanks for the reply. I think that I will implement the connections making use of the 10GbE ports on the 3132Q-V without making use of the breakout cables.
From a technical point of view what would be the best mode of implementation?
Thanks.
No problem.
As far as implementation? This a net new cluster?
Yes, is for a new cluster in a new implementation.
Something like this:
Cable the Cluster Switches to each other.
Configure mgmt, patch to the correct firmware / install the RCF files.
Make sure the 2750 and A400 are on the same ontap version.
Whichever pair is 01/02 is really up to you, i would probably put the A400 as 01 02 and the 2750 as 03 04
Connect the cluster ports/mgmt ports etc on the A400 as per the docs.
Setup the cluster as per the docks.
When the 2 node is healthy, cable up and join the other pair to the cluster.
After that, configure disks/aggrs/networking/etc.
Run Active IQ config advisor
Lastly, test failover giveback on each HA pair before going prod.
Thanks for your help @SpindleNinja !!!
