Inherited Cluster Configuration When Adding New Nodes to Existing Cluster

Hello!

I'm looking for documentation that indicates what configuration is inherited by a new node when it is joined to an existing cluster. My scenario:

-FAS8020 HA pair is being upgraded then made into a switched cluster

-New AFF-A220 being added to cluster

-Data will be transferred off the FAS8020, then the FAS8020 will be removed from the cluster.

Just looking for how much on the introduced AFF-A220 node pair will have to be manually configure.

Thank you in advance!

You'll need to configure things on the physical side of the house for sure aggrs/disks   ports/ifgrps.

You'll have to move the lifs over to the new ports when the time comes.

SVMs will remain as they are.

Be Sure to run config advisor on the cluster and cluster switches before you start to move workload to the new nodes.

This is very helpful for this process.
