Hi All,
I am wondering if there is a version of ONTAP DSM (for iSCSI) tool for install on Windows Server 2016 DCE (VMWAre VM).
Two queries around this:
the NetApp IMT tool only showed support for "Microsoft MS DSM"... is there support for NEtApp's own ONTAP DSM install (if so what version).
the NetApp IMT tool only showed support for Hyper-V.... is there a ONTAP DSM product for Windows Server 2016 on VMware 6.x
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
If you search for SnapDrive components in the HWU it gives support for both ONTAP DSM 4.1P1 as well as Microsoft MS DSM.
https://mysupport.netapp.com/matrix/imt.jsp?components=946;75304;77073;&solution=4&isHWU
The supported version of VSC only goes to v6.x since v7 only supports SnapCenter, which does not use SnapDrive...so is not listed 🙂
However, the only real benefit of using the ONTAP DSM is the GUI that shows the owning VSM, otherwise the Host Utilities Kit together with the Microsoft MS DSM provide the same functionality.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Grant.
