7-Mode to CDoT 8.3 Snapmirror Not Working

I am trying to manually create a snapmirror relationship between a 7-mode 8.01 array and an CDoT 8.3RC1 array. I am following my guide for 8.2.x that I have used before and I'm not having any luck. The only error that I am recieving on the 7-mode side is "Mon Nov 17 17:28:54 EST [Netapp-02: openssh.versionExchange.Fail:error]: Did not receive identification string from 192.168.3.68"

Anyone successfully snapmirrored to an 8.3RC1 array from 7-mode yet? Any tips?

Just thought of something: Does the aggr on the 7-mode system have to be 64-bit for this snapmirror to work? My guess is that it does...

It is not supported except for transition. And yes, 8.3 does not support 32 bit aggregates so you must convert source to 64 bit first before you can initiate transitional relationship.

The source system is a FAS2040 which does not support 8.2.x code. What are my options for converting any 32-bit aggrs into 64-bit without adding disk?

Loan some filer as jump host? Start with cDOT 8.2 and upgrade to 8.3 after relocation is complete?

Hello

You don't need to go to 8.2

8.1.4P4 supports 32 to 64 bit conversion without adding disks
