7-mode SNMP get Cifs shares information

Hi,

We are currently implementing a ADDM solution for detecting objects in our network. We want use this to see the dependencies between systems, servers and components.

One of the things we want to detect is the cifs shares on our NetApp V-filer running on a 7-mode system.

Is this possible to find using SNMP?

I've tracked down the OID's using iReasoning querying the NetApp system, but could not find any information regarding the cifs shares.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Is SNMP enabled on the NetApp Storage?

Thanks

Are you trying to find the share names on the vfiler?

I am afraid that you can't find that using SNMP. What about using NMSDK?

From MIB, this is what I could find:

cifsNShares (snmp.1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.7.2.11.0) DESCRIPTION "The current number of CIFS shares on the filer."

cifsMaxShares (snmp.1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.7.2.6.0) DESCRIPTION "The maximum number of simultaneous CIFS shares allowed on the filer."
