Hi All,
I would like to ask about the RCF file for Bes53248.
What is the difference between downloading BES-53248-RCF v1.10 Cluster-HA.txt from the NetApp website and using the RCF generator tool? Do I need to reimport the RCF file after updating the firmware?
Thanks.
Metrocluster AFF250 9.10.1p8 to 9.13.1p8
Bes53248 3.8.0.2 to 3.10.0.3

They are very different configurations. If you Are doing a normal ONTAP configuration without metro cluster, you must use the rcf from the downloads section of the web site.
if you are doing a metro cluster then you must use the correct configuration for the switch being used (there are 4 switches in a metro cluster, two at each site). This config has different switch connectivity that must be accounted for.

hello:
for MetroClusterFC configuration:The MetroCluster FC switch RCF files and port layouts do not have to be changed when upgrading ONTAP to a newer version with a different port layout.
for MetroCluster IP configuration: for MetroClusterIP configuration the RCF file need to match the ontap release.
The article may be help for you
Best regards.
