Add a new iSCSI connection from Windows Server to vServer using command line or script

Hello

First of all I should mentioned I am not a NetApp engineer but rather a Windows engineer

I am trying to achive something that on the surface of it would appear simple 

I have A Windows Server and a CModde vServer there are currently 4 iSCSI connection from the Server to the Filer and I want to add 4 new ones (to different IP addresses on the vServer)

I would prefer to use the command line utility iSCSICli.exe as it is installed on every system (but I could also use DataONTAP toolkit if required)

All I need to do is create a New iSCSI from a particular Source IP address in the Server to a particular IP address on the vServer

I have found several examples on the internet using iSCSIcli.exe but none of them appear to work.

also there are no actual examples when you type iSCSIcli.exe /?

does anyone have a working example please that will let me created a new iSCSI connection which will persist after rebootin the Server

Hi, sorry can I clarify what your trying to achieve...are the 4 connections you wish to connect new IP address on the client (i.e. 8 in total), or are you wishing to reuse the existing 4 connections, giving 2 to each IP on the storage?

Just wondering what errors you are seeing; I want to make sure this is a CLI command issue, rather than config, for example checking to make sure the new IP address (LIF) on the storage is configured for iSCSI access (vserver iscsi interface show command).

This KB details how to achive multiple connections, but using the Windows iSCSI GUI: https://kb.netapp.com/support/s/article/how-to-set-up-iscsi-mpio-on-windows-2008-windows-2008-r2-and-windows-2012-using-microsoft-multipathing, but obviously not good if you want to script this.

I've never had to use iSCSICli and since it is a Windows utility it's not really referenced in any guides.
