Aligning linux VMs

Is there any way to install linux so it is already aligned much like Windows 2008 servers are always aligned? In particular I will be installing Ubuntu 11, 32bit server

If it cannot be installed aligned how can I use mbralign to align this VM? I have aligned many Windows VMs using mbralign but never a linux VM
