Hey guys,
Have an opportunity in a MAC video shop, using OSSV from an XServe to Netapp, and then Snapmirror offsite. XServe is just a Linux derivitive, so has anyone made this work?
Thank you,
Chris

Hi Chris,
According to OSSV suport matrices Mac XServe is not supported:
http://now.netapp.com/NOW/knowledge/docs/olio/guides/ossv/OSSV_Support_matrix.shtml
Also OSSV does not support backing up a network map or mount point, so using a supported Linux host as a proxy won't work either.
Regards,
Radek

Unfortunately, saw the compatibility matrix, but still haven't given up! Anyone out there try it?
Thanks,
Chris

Sorry, just to clarify, XServe is the hardware, the software is OSX 10 server edition, which is a modified BSD.
Thanks,
Chris
