Hi,
i'm wondering about this feature. A customer informed me that he got a "critical" info about a BMC update:
SU555: [Impact: CRITICAL] BMC firmware 15.11 increases stability - NetApp Knowledge Base
The storage is configured to automatically update the BMC, so why is this "critical" update not provided that way?
ONTAP has a feature to solve a critial bug but it will not be used... Confusing...
Has someone more informations regarding this topic?
Kind regards
Stefan

Automatic Firmware Updates are performed on a schedule.
See: How automatic updates are scheduled for installation (netapp.com)
Critical updates should be performed on 50% of target systems in the first week of availability.
It seems this timeframe has passed, so please open a case with NetApp support to investigate further.

O.k. perhaps next time, or at a different customer. Here i have installed this update already manually. When i spend now more time in this, the customer has to pay for my time, i don't thik that he will do that.
But in general this is working, he has installed timezone data on the system.
