Change disk ownership AFF 8040

Hi

I have just installed AFF 8040 with 1DS242C shelf. Cusotmer asks to change the ownership of disks as all the odd disks should go to Node-A and even disks to Node-B. 

Since the cluster is up and running (not data by the way), how can i do this?

It depends on current disk ownership and whether you are using ADP or not.

What ONTAP version is installed?

Even/Odd disk ownership is not the best practice for AFF systems.  Best practice is 0-11 Node A, 12-23 node B.

If ONTAP 9.2, you can reinitialize to best practices using the new Option 9 boot menu.

If ONTAP 9.0+, use this KB to reinitialize with root-data-data partitioning. Step 9 shows the disk assignment details.
