Cluster mode to 7 mode

Hi,Installing FAS 2220 with dual controller ,It's came with on tap version 8.1.2 with cluster mode,I need 7 mode installation,

While installing through serial port it will directly go to cluster mode,

Can some some body share the steps how to convert cluster mode to 7 mode.

Maybe this will help.

The Controller is now set to boot c-mode. You need to change this at the LOADER prompt.

Procedure:

- halt controller

- at the boot loader, set the environment variable bootarg.init.boot_clustered to false

  LOADER> setenv bootarg.init.boot_clustered false

- Install 7-mode

- boot into the boot menu and select 4 for the initial installation

If we set setenv bootarg.init.boot_clustered false do we need to install the 7-mode manually or it will go automatically 7-mode.

This is first time I am doing ,I never install the 7-mode installation,Pls help.

Hi,

You cannot convert the 7 mode to cluster mode. Both are diffrent images. If you want to convert it , do the databackup and install cluster mode on the filer.
