Clustered ONTAP: net-interface-create value of dns-domain-name parameter

I've a question about the parameter, "DNS Domain Name" in the call net-interface-create for Clustered ONTAP.

Is that the domain name (e.g. itapp.com)? or the FQDN for the LIF (e.g. "itappnfsserver.itapp.com")?

From reading the web and documentation, I believe you can use itapp.com.
