We have a vServer running on C-Mode 8.2.1 that is presented a Tape Library from the physical node.
We are trying to detect the devices via CommVault, but we believe the wrong detect command is being sent to the filer, as many of the commands change in c-mode.
Commvault is trying the following:
ndmp_v4.cpp 3383 NDMP_CONFIG_GET_SCSI_INFO:
ndmp_v4.cpp 3396 Config get_scsi_info failed NDMP_NOT_SUPPORTED_ERR
From what I have read from some other KB articles on the net 8.2.1 C-Mode does not support the get_scsi_info command.
Can someone please confirm?
What command should be used in its place?
Thank you,

It was discovered that to use this setup we needed to do the NDMP drive pool detection at the physical node level and it cannot be performed at the vServer level.
