Data Ontap 8.1 Data migration from 32 bit aggregate to 64 bit aggr

Hi

In Data ONTAP 8.1 we are planning to migrate data from existing 32 bit aggregate to 64 bit aggregate.

We are having many number of aggregates some of the aggregates we are expanding to 64 bit aggregate by adding disks.

Remaining aggregate we need to migrate data from 32 bit aggregate to new 64 bit aggregate.

For the data migration which will be recommended method snap mirror or aggr copy?

You can’t aggr copy between 32 and 64 bits.

Just ndmp copy the data from the 32 to 64 aggrs, you just need the swing space.
