Data migration between DOT 8.0.2 to DOT 8.2.1

We have migrate datas from a FAS3170 (DOT 8.0.2) to a FAS8020 (DOT 8.2.1). After this migration we have encountered an acces problem for Windows users.

In our configuration, datas for Windows users are managed with symbolic links. To resolve this problem, we have activated a NTFS special permissions :

"Traverse Folder/Execute File" for Domain users security on a CIFS share properties.

No problem for Unix users.

Somebody can explain to me the difference between DOT 8.0.2 and DOT 8.2.1 to manage symlinks. Are there an option to manage CIFS or SMB protocols to avoid this behavior ?

Thanks to all for help.

That reminds me a similar issue. It might just be related to SMB2 being enabled by default now.

If you still have something to test, you could temporarily disable SMB2 and see if it "solves" the issue.
