What are all the default /Free license which is availbale with new storage box?

NetApp now have software bundles for new controllers. The included bundle for all new controllers is called Data ONTAP Essentials.

Check out http://www.netapp.com/au/products/storage-systems/fas3200/fas3200-software.html as an example of what software you get for all new FAS32xx controllers.

As a summary you get:

• One protocol of your choice
• SyncMirror
• MetroCluster
• Deduplication (ASIS)

• SnapShot
• MultiStore
• And a few others

Filerview is included in all NetApp controllers.

You also have access to System Manager, which can be used to manage multiple controllers from a single administration window.

Rumors are it will disappear in 8.1 (technically, not license ) so it is probably the right time to start with System Manager if GUI is required.

FilerView is definitely gone in 8.1.  Many of my customers will miss it, but it was way overdue for retirement.

If you are talking about DFM (aka Operations Manager/Provisioning Manager/Protection Manager), Yes this is now a $0 cost item now.

But only for new systems (as part of Essentials), not for existing ones …

We have done this with $0 POs for existing systems.

For filerview.. Not available on 8.1 at all.
