Hi @Muru

The following KB article might be helpful to you - https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS_7_Mode/How_to_delete_a_qtree_or_directory

Alternatively, you can try to troubleshoot why your access is not allowing you to delete the folder/files - https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS_7_Mode/How_to_troubleshoot_Microsoft_Client_permission_issues_on_a_Dat...

Hope this helps.

@RossC thanks for your response, I don't have permission on that share and share sub folder. I can delete the only file through netapp diag mode using  "rm" command.

I need delete the entire folder ( sub folder (ex) \\share-IP\xyz\soure\restore  ---->  restore folder i need delete)

Hi @Muru

Thanks for the follow up. So the command would be "rmdir" not "rm". "rmdir" should let you delete the folder rather than an individual file.

This KB Article https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Data_Storage_Software/ONTAP_OS_7_Mode/How_to_delete_a_qtree_or_directory does share the specific "rmdir" commands to run.

Hope this clarifies.
