Question : I want to find out what's the minimum Solaris 10 'Update' required for NetApp Filer running ONTAP 7.3.7 GA. In the Host OS drop down , I can see Solaris in two different locations, and they both are indicating different update levels.
Solaris under SUN - > is happy with Update 8
Whereas,
Solaris under ORACLE -> wants Update 9 as minimum.
Is both the same OS but put under a different owner name now (after sun acquisition by oracle) ?
Should I be looking at updates under SUN or ORACLE. Can someone please clarify this.
It would make sense if it's just merged under one header.
Thanks,

Solaris update 8 was likely the last one released before Oracle acquired Sun. So later updates are Oracle branded.

Yeah, that's what I thought. B'cos updates under ORACLE Solaris shows '9' onward, whereas SUN OS has updates until '8'. So, I should be looking at SUN Solaris to find out the "MINIMUM' update needed. Is that right?
