How snaps are created in Snapmirror source

Hi ,

I want to know how snapmirror snaps are created at the source volume.Do we do anything additionally apart from making entries in snapmirror.conf .

I am not talking about volume level snapshots here example. nightly.0

That's not correct.

Since you are talking 7-mode, you need to look at the snap sched commands 

snap sched vol0

snapmirror.conf only applies to the destination snapmirror to tell it when to mirror

My actual question is the snapmirror snapshots which are created at the source to be replicated at the dest are created by snapmirror.conf ?

And if not by conf file then how snaps are created in source volume and then replicated
