Hello everyone,
I have two old snapmirrored volumes on a filer which are currently in a broken-off state and want to delete them. Is it ok to simply take these volumes offline and destroy them? Will the old snapmirror relationship then also be deleted?
A "snapmirror status" on the filer that holdes these snapmirror volumes gives:
filer1os> snapmirror status
Snapmirror is on.
Source Destination State Lag Status
...
filer1m:te filer1os:filer1m_te Broken-off 5749:49:07 Idle
filer1m:user filer1os:filer1m_user Broken-off 5750:19:07 Idle
...
The problem is that the old source filer (filer1m) is no longer available. So I cannot do a "snapmirror relase ..." for these two volumes any more.
Any advice?
Regards,
Ralf

Hi Stefan,
works fine! Thanks! Problem solved!

You might also need to remove the snapmirror.conf entries if there are any.

The snapmirror.conf file was on the source filer which has already been decommissoned.
But thanks for the hint.

snapmirror.conf will be on the destination and not on the source filer.
