How to preserve SnapVault backups after migrating source SVM to another cluster

Dear All,

Need some help and suggestion on SnapVault.

We have a FAS2552 (cluster PROD, svm SUBA1) backed up by SnapVault to a FAS2554 (cluster BACKUP svm SUBA2).

We have a new FAS2750 (cluster new-PROD, svm new-SUBA1) for production and we are going to replicate/migrate SUBA1 svm to new FAS.

I think we have to delete relationship between FAS2552 and FAS2554,  and create a new one between FAS2750 and FAS2554 after migration.

My question is : how to preserve all snapshots copy (daily, weekly, monthly) we have in our 2554 ?

Thank you for your help

Dear Gidi

Thank you for your answer. I read the result of your test and KB.
As our SV destination is the same, if I understand correctly, we just need to  quiesce/releease/delete the relation between A and B and redo a relation between new-A (A after migration) and B again with existing baseline.

Hi.

You can move the source volume to other cluster without re-baseline your destination volume.

Here you can see a test I did two years ago where I moved both the SRC and DST.
