Mixing tape and diskshelf access on the same FC initiator - supported/recommended?

Is it supported to use the same FC initiator port to simultaneously access both disk shelves and tape devices?

Or should tape and disk be separated on different initiators?

Ok, I see that it would be impossible to cable this in a sensible way for a standard filer appliance, but in a fabric-attached MetroCluster one could, theoretically at least, configure it...

In fabric MC switches used for shelf connection are dedicated to it; it is not supported to connect anything else. At least that is what I have learned so far ☺
