Moving LUN from VOlume path to Qtree path

Hi

I am looking to move a lun with "lun move" command of the live data .

Wanted to understand if anyone has any bad experiences in doing so & what would be the effects of doing so.

Eg:- lun move /vol/TESTVOL / testlun /vol/TESTVOL/testqtree/testlun

WIll this have any impact on the live data .

Hi Hari,

There will be no impact on live data of the "lun move" command, as long as the source and destination lun_path are the in the same volume.

you could also have moved using snapmirror. in my experience its a lot faster than a lun move.
