NetApp DR, SVM-DR or Volume SnapMirror

We are on the stage to set up DR for our production NetApp. we know we have choices between volume snapmirror or SVM-DR. as I know, the SnapMirror will replicate volumes, it is available for failover or failback. the SVM-DR will replicate all SVM include config and volumes to DR site for failover in case. Can some one share your experience on more details on advantages and disadvantages on each?

On this moment, we will more focus on CIFS volumes. we are on 9.7P6.

thanks.

SVM DR is more specifically for DR. SnapMirror just replicates the data to another location. Really it is just how you handle the configuration of things like network interfaces, DNS entries, etc. SVM DR just makes it more automatic.

If you're not sure which you should use, your account team can also give guidance on your specific situation.

Sorry I don't have more specifics to offer.
