Permissions removed from CIFS

Hello guys,

Ontap 8.0.5P1 7-mode

FAS2040

60 SAS and BSAS drives

We are having an issue where permissions for CIFS have disappered without a trace. No reboot was done and no errors were found. We noticed that the permissions were missing when users had issues scanning  from a copier into a folder.

Has anyone seen this issue?

Never heard of permissions removed on their own.

Time to look at the audit logs ?

Please elaborate.   Permissions removed from a CIFS share or NTFS permissions within the share?
