Hi All,
Trying to configure pushing syslog messages to an external Logstash server. The admin has provided me the IP,
and port the Logstash server is listening on.
Do we actually have the ability to configure on the Netapp:
1)To send FROM a certain port on the sender(Filer)
2)To send TO a certain port on the log server?
Somewhere I read that the port could be added to the IP configured in the syslog.conf file as such:
cmdsaudit.auditlog local7.debug@xx.xx.xx.xx:(Port #)
Is listing the port possible?
Thanks in advance!

Same issue here. i cannot add a different port number. it throws up a message
syslog daemon error logerror syslogd: Couldn't find address for host name "10.160.0.111:5544": Unknown resolver error .
tried several options of specifying a port number and they all failed

Bump.
I'm curious about this as well - for both 7mode and Cmode - can we specify a non-default port for a syslog server?
